Visit to Edayaar, Poonthura

St. Vincent De Paul Society, Sacred Heart Conference Nanthencode visited 20 economically backward families in Edayaar, Poonthura on 15th December, 2016. The members of Sacred Heart Conference Nanthencode spent nearly 15 minutes in each house and each family were given food kit consisting of Cake, Sugar, tea green gram, edible oil etc costing Rs 500/- Rev.Beed Manoj Amado, Parish Priest, Parochial Administrator of Paruthikuzhy & Edayaar led the members of Sacred Heart Conference.

Visit to Priest Home, Kumarapuram,'Beth Shalom'

Priest Home, Kumarapuram,'Beth Shalom', St. Pius X Church Compound, Kumarapuram, Medical College P.O., Tvm (A Home for the Senior Priests ) located in Kumarapuram, Trivandrum, Vincetians visited the Priest Home on 14th November, 2016. Rev. Sr Margret, Superior, Mary Mount Convent, Nanthencode and 7 members of St. Vincent De Paul Society, Sacred Heart Conference Nanthencode, was present on the occasion & spent nearly 1 ½ hours in the institution.

Visit to St Assisi. Bhavan, Chavadimukku, Sreekariyam

St Francis of Assisi (1182 – 1226) born to a wealthy merchant family in the town of Assisi, Italy, St Francis underwent a religious conversion after coming back from a military campaign. He devoted his life to poverty, chastity and living the truth of the Gospels. He gained the authority to establish a new order of monks – The Franciscans. He is said to have received the Stigmata – becoming the first recorded person to experience the same wounds of Jesus Christ. St Assisi. Bhavan, Chavadimukku, Sreekariyam (A Home for the homeless) located in Trivandrum, is looking after 34 inmates. This charitable institution was visited on 30th Oct: 2016. Rev. Fr Jerome Netto Asst: Parish Priest, Sacred Heart Church, Nanthencode and 8 members of St. Vincent De Paul Society, Sacred Heart Conference Nanthencode visited this institution. The members spent nearly 1 ½ hours with inmates and the institute were given relief materials consisting of Sugar, green gram, snacks etc.

Kripatheeram Mariam Thresia Home Visit

Kripatheeram Mariam Thresia Home (A Home for the homeless) located in Trivandrum, Muttacaud is looking after 32 inmates. This charitable institution was visited on 9th Oct: 2016. Rev. Fr Jerome Netto Asst: Parish Priest, Sacred Heart Church, Sr Kochu Thersia of Mary Mount Convent Nanthencode and 8 members of St. Vincent De Paul Society, Sacred Heart Conference Nanthencode visited this institution. The members spent nearly 1 ½ hours with inmates and the institute were given relief materials consisting of Rice, Sugar, green gram tea etc.

Book distribution programme 2016-17 at St Antony’s Church, Njandoorkonam, Thundathil and Vikas Nagar


Book distribution programme for the academic year 2016-17 was inaugurated at  St Antony’s Church, Njandoorkonam, Thundathil and Vikas Nagar 0n 1st May, 2016. Rev Fr Pradeep , Parish priest, St Antonys Church,   Njandoorkonam , Rev Fr Robinson, Parish Priest, St Josephs Church, Vikas Nagar,  Rev: Sr Sunitha CCR Secretary (AVE) Sr. Sabi Holy Angels CBSC School, G H Junction,  & Sr.    All Saint College  &  Holy Angels ISC School, Nanthencode and members of St. Vincent De Paul Society, Sacred Heart Conference  Nanthencode Secretary Br.Joseph Johnson, CC  Secretary, Br Andrews Pettah A C president, Br Rollin Fernandez, Trivandrum AC President carried out the programme. In  Phase-I of the programme 80  students studying from Standard   VII to degree level were benefitted.

Book distribution programme for the academic year 2016-17  was carried out at  St Thomas  Church Ponthura & Chirya Thura on  29nd  May, 2016.  Rev.  Fr  Mathias Oliver,  Parish Priest Chirya Thura, Br Don Bosco, Sr. Vice President Trivandrum Central Council,  Br Rollin Fernandez, President, Trivandrum Area Council,  Br. Poius George,  Br, Johnson, Sr. Mary Leoncia, Sr .Tajan  Samson  of St. Vincent De Paul Society, Sacred Heart Conference  Nanthencode, carrried out the programme. 60 economically backward students of costal area studying from Standard  VII to degree level benefitted in todays programme.

Visit to Blood Cancer effected patients in S H Jothi Centre, Kumarapuram


Society of  St . Vincent De  Paul, Sacred  Heart Conference, Nanthencode, visited blood cancer effected patients in S H Jothi Centre, Kumarapuram on 24-7-2016.   Rev. Fr.  Dyson, Parish Priest Sacred Heart Church, Nanthencode led the prayer and blessed all the 20 patients in the institution. The patients were given relief materials consisting of sugar, flour, tapioca, banana, biscuits etc. 8  Sacred Heart Conference, Nanthencode were present on the occasion.

House Visit near Our Lady of Fair Voyago Church, Vijhinjam


House visit was carried out near Our Lady of Fair Voyago Church, Vijhinjam on 19th June, 2016. Rev. Sr. Lucia, Holy Cross Convent, Vijhinjam, Sr. Kochu Theres, & Sr. Jossy, of Mary Mount Convent, Nanthencode, Br Rollin Fernandez, President, St. Vincent De Paul Society, Trivandrum Area Council, Br Christadima, Conference President, Our Lady of Fair Voyago, Vijhinjam, Br.Pius George, Br. Andrews, Br. Jose, Sr. Mary Leoncia all of St. Vincent De Paul Society, Sacred Heart Conference Nanthencode carried out the programme. The above team divided into three groups and carried our the 40 house visits among most poor families in Vijhinjam. 40 families of this costal area were given food kits containing grains, cooking oil, sugar, tea etc. worth Rs 16,000/-
